Mercutio – “Alas, poor Romeo, he is already dead, stabbed with a white wench’s black eye…”

Mercutio might be referring to the fact that he has been ‘stabbed’ with love. This would mean that he does not feel love for anyone else but only this one person. He has no other ‘feelings’ for anyone else.

The other thing it could be pointing to is their future and how they die. It would be meaning that he is finally in ‘love’ with this person but it will end in death. It might also be giving us a hint as to how they die, pointing out the fact that they might die by a knife, or something that can stab you.

I find this quote interesting because it gives you an insight as to how they might die. It also points to Romeo’s love life.
